Kambo – the tribal frog medicine from the Amazon has decided to find its way out of the jungle and is quickly gaining popularity worldwide as a full body, mind and spirit cleanse.
It’s recognized as one of the strongest antidepressant, analgesic, antibiotic and anti-inflammatory substances found in nature and works through the lymphatic system to help people get rid of heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, parasites and certain bacteria, viruses and fungi.
While originally used by tribes mainly to lift “Panema” (bad luck or dark energy), malaria, snake bites, infections, to increase energy, sexual attraction and “Hunting Magic”, the powerful peptides in Kambo outside of the forest have proven to be highly beneficial in cases of depression, anxiety, Lyme’s disease, chronic fatigue, arthritis, diabetes, candida, Alzheimer’s, blood pressure and hormonal issues as well as HIV.
In this 90-minute workshop, Natascha will be sharing about the origins of Kambo, how the medicine is harvested, the different traditions and tribes that have a history of using the medicine and the different ways they use it, how Kambo is administered, how you can prepare for treatment, what to expect when getting a treatment, proper aftercare, the supporting uses of rapés and Sananga (other shamanic medicines used in conjunction with Kambo), contraindications, precautions and symbiotic or adverse reactions with other medicines.
Facilitated by Natascha Berg:
Natascha is an experienced Kambo practitioner, originally from Spain and Germany, now based out of LA. It was her childhood dream to become a doctor, so she went to medical school at the University of Heidelberg, Germany for several years, but later realized that she was more interested in alternative healing methods and in helping people awaken the healing powers of their own bodies. She was trained by leading Kambo expert and IAKP founder Karen Uma Kanya-Darke (who draws upon the experience of over 12000 Kambo treatments over the years) and is now a proud member of the IAKP (International Association of Kambo Practitioners). Her strength is precise intuition and she uses the knowledge of several traditions in her work, using indigenous methods, meridians, chakras, marma points, general TCM points and auricular forms of Kambo therapy where appropriate. In most cases she detects where the energy blockages are and guides her clients towards releasing those.
Her circles are fully held in a sacred space, nurturing and sensitive to individual needs and include Kambo medicine songs, drums and rattles and supportive shamanic practices and tools.
