Shiri’s objective is to provide a safe, non-judgemental and confidential emotional support for people who have previously experienced altered states, who have made a decision on their own account and desire to experience altered states, and/or are experiencing a spiritual emergence/emergency. Under this objective she follows a clear set of guidelines of integration coaching serviced:
What is offered:
Information addressing the client’s concerns about the use of psychedelic substances/entheogens based on contemporary scientific research, ancient medicine teachings, academic studies, professional training, community and personal experience
Support and guidance pre and post journey to those who are engaging with psychedelics on their own or with a therapist/guide
Support and guidance to those who are experiencing challenging and adverse effects related to psychedelic substances
Support and guidance to those who are undergoing a spiritual emergence or spiritual emergency, due to the use of psychedelic substances or otherwise
Educational tools to individuals who wish to learn how to support themselves or others who are planning to experience/are experiencing/have experienced altered states
Psychedelic education and integration training to coaches, counselors or mental health professionals who wish to expand their professional knowledge base.
What Is not offered:
Psychedelic substances of any kind, or advice on where/how to acquire them
Psychedelic-assisted therapy sessions of any kind
References to facilitators or centers who provide psychedelics/medicine sessions, other than the ones listed on this website
Recommendations for using any illegal psychedelic substances
Psychotherapy or other clinical mental health services, medical services, evaluations, assessment or diagnosis
Pharmaceutical medicine prescription/management
Legal services.
Common Questions
Do you offer advice/ can help me learn more about MDMA-assisted psychotherapy or LSD-assisted psychotherapy?
If are curious to learn more, want to understand if this therapy is right for you, or have decided to participate in a psychedelic-assisted therapy session with other providers, Shiri can help you gain knowledge and understanding of what can be expected in these sessions as they relate to your specific concerns. If you have participated in such session with other providers, she can help you ground back and integrate your experience after the session to clarify the therapeutic insights to amplify and expedite the healing process.
Do you work with clients while they are under the influence of a psychedelic substance?
Shiri works with clients who are seeking support while either recovering from a past psychedelic experience or who have made a decision on their own account to experience altered states and might do so in the future. Emergency support for those undergoing a challenging experience while on a substance is currently available on a case-by-case basis only. If someone you know is experiencing an emergency, call your local assistance services. This immediate harm-reduction service might also be useful.
Can you provide immediate support for spiritual emergence or emergency not related to psychedelics?
Support for those undergoing a spiritual crisis is available on a case-by-case basis only. If you are experiencing an emergency, call your local assistance services first. Consider contacting The Spiritual Emergence Network and The Center for Spiritual Emergence for specialized support. Search for psychedelic societies in your area. If you live in Los Angeles, join one of our local community integration circles.
I am interested in participating in an ayahuasca ceremony in South America, can you recommend a center or retreat that provides a safe experience?
Shiri supports the work of Nihue Rao Centro Espiritual in Peru. She will offer information about other retreat centers based on personal knowledge, but does not offer direct references. Through a consultation she can assist with clarifying your concerns and intentions of engaging with Ayahuasca, and advise on which parameters are important to consider and what questions to ask when looking for a safe and ethically-practiced Ayahuasca retreat center.
I am taking psychiatric medications and interested in participating in an ayahuasca ceremony/taking other psychedelic substances. What are the risks and interactions I need to consider?
Thank you for taking the time to consider the possible risks and interactions involved by combining pharmaceuticals with psychedelic substances. Please always consult your doctor for any medication questions. Shiri has experience with supporting individuals who are working towards discontinuing use of psychiatric medication.
